The Surrey Langley SkyTrain project is a 16-kilometre extension of the Expo Line along Fraser Highway, connecting King George Station to Langley City Centre, with construction expected to start in 2024 and completion targeted for 2028–2029. Led by SkyLink Guideway Partners, including Dragados Canada, Ledcor, and SYSTRA, the project will design, build, and finance the elevated guideway, roadworks, utilities, and active transportation elements. Serving one of the fastest-growing areas south of the Fraser River, the extension supports projected growth of 420,000 new residents and 147,000 new jobs by 2050 in Surrey and Langley. The project aims to provide sustainable, multi-modal transit options, integrate active transportation, foster healthy communities, and drive economic development, ultimately connecting with the Millennium, Expo, and Canada Lines to form over 100 kilometres of track.
